Secure Data Erasure

The largest single external threat to any company's trading ability is the security of its data.

The Data Protection Act Regulations 1998, has placed much greater responsibility on company's regarding confidential data. Organisations must securely destroy any data they hold containing personal information. Any individual who suffers damage because of a contravention by the data controller is entitled to compensation and it is also a criminal offence carrying a maximum £5000 fine.

Advance Services provides an excellent on-site/off-site Data Erasure Service. Our erasure technology is in compliance with both US and UK military authorities; this erasure technology has proved to be a more effective data erasure tool compared to the simple "fdisk" erasure routine. Our data erasure system is very efficient and effective.  All data removal is conducted using a 3-7 level overwrite process to ensure complete data erasure and data security. On completion of the data erasure we provide an ‘Erasure Report’ with corresponding serial numbers from the specified erased Advanced Services media. All Erasure Reports are supplied back to the client attached to a destruction certificate.
