Image & Workflow: 1218 Dual Screen Implementation
Advance Services were contracted to carry out a large scale dual screen implementation for Zurich Financial Services. The project required flat screen monitor installations with the flat screen monitor needing to work alongside the current monitor to provide the end users with dual screen compatibility.
The project required 1218 installations for 13 Zurich office locations spanning the North & South region of the UK. These installations had to be completed over 45 days and had to be implemented outside of working hours to avoid any disruption to normal business.
This was not a straightforward monitor refresh project due to the dual screen requirement. Our technicians also had to upgrade each PC system with a new graphics card and install the correct drivers. This added a substantial amount of time to each installation.
Preparation was the key to the successful delivery of this project. We ensured all technicians studied the correct installation process and how to handle all potential situations that could arise. We also ensured that each installation took no more than 7 minutes.
Zurich’s requirements after each installation were:
• To place previously supplied user guides on each end user’s desk.
• Ensure each new screen installed was issued with a previously supplied asset tags.
• Each screen would need to be manually audited for tracking purposes.
After each complete office rollout our technicians remained on site for a pre-agreed amount of time in order to provide floor-walking services and technical support to those affected by the dual screen implementation.
